The Coming Move of God

ONCE AGAIN I WAS PRAYING FOR AMERICA AND ASKING GOD WHEN HE was going to shake this land. I was reading 'Sounding forth the Trumpet' by Peter Marshall and David Manuel about the Great Awakening (revival) this country experienced at the beginning of the mid-1730's. By the time that move started to wane it had converted most of the people in the colonies. God prepared this land spiritually before she was to enter into her fight for independence. God always prepares a people spiritually before a major event takes place and the next Great Awakening took place at the beginning of the 1800's as God was preparing and saving many for the crisis of the Civil War. This move of God lasted for over eighty years. In the beginning of the movement spontaneous prayer meetings were springing up all over the country. Many businessmen in all the major cities would not eat lunch and prayed for revival instead. After this move gained momentum and took off, God used mostly lay people and unknown ministers. This burden I've been carrying many weeks would not leave me and it seemed to weigh on me like a sack of rocks. Rare is the believer who has not heard some kind of prophetic word about a great move of God that will shake this country. Yet, many people do not realize that God is very willing to answer our prayers if He knows we are serious about being a part of the answer. Day after day I sought the Lord, crying out for an answer. Where is it God? Where is this move of your Spirit that has been promised to take place in this country? These things were in my mind when I retired for the evening.

THE BIG SHAKING I was awakened in the night by a sound of glass breaking. I quickly got up and ran into the kitchen, but found nothing. I looked around the house and saw nothing out of order…all was quiet. Suddenly I felt an overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit. I saw a vision of the Father picking up this country and as He did the land turned into a bottle. He shook it violently! After shaking the bottle, He poured out the contents on America. The bottle (now empty) turned back into America and the poured contents glistened and glowed as it cover the entire nation…glory radiated over the land.

THE INDIVIDUAL SHAKING The vision changed. I saw many individuals turn into bottles. On each bottle was a label. Stamped on the label was: 'SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING' The Holy Spirit showed me that some who are too settled in their own little world and too routine-ized…are about to be shaken (Hebrews 12:27). Often, people will not change and go higher unless something or Someone shakes us. Then I saw some people try to write something on the bottle. One person had actually put one of their arms out of the bottle and tried to write another word on the label. In front of 'SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING' they tried to write 'DON'T'. Today many want instant change without challenge. God is going to shake some believers for long term change. Don't resist God's shaking. Don't mess with the hand that is forming the clay (Jer. 18:1-4). "Woe to him that striveth with his Maker!" says Isaiah 45:9. I saw many finally giving in to God and saying, "OK, OK I give up…shake away, do whatever you want!" A great sigh of relief was heard from heaven.

WHAT IS THE SHAKING? The shaking would vary for each person, and consisted of what the Spirit called 'the love test'. God was saying, 'I know you love me when I bless you and supply all your needs. But will you still love me, even if I halt the blessings in your life and allow some troubles to touch you?' The big question in the love test is, 'Will we love God in the midst of adversity or will we be offended by Him." God wants to see if many in America will stay true. The scripture came to mind, 'Thou shall love the love thy God with all thy heart, mind, soul & strength…" Jesus did not add a PS to this command: 'Unless things start to go badly'.

THE SOUND OF GLASS BREAKING Then I remembered that I awakened by the sound of glass breaking, and I saw the Father taking four or five bottles at a time (after they had been vigorously shaken) and throwing them at various cities and towns. A great crash was heard as they burst into little pieces…but the mixture within the bottles was powerful, splashing all over the community…and starting a revival such as never seen before. The Father continued to throw the bottles until great flashes of light burst into city after city. Soon, the entire nation glowed with glory. Many ran into the Kingdom of God. Millions were in the harvest. Many who had been sick and diseased were healed and shouted with joy as they joined in the gathering of souls. The vision ended and I was astonished. First I glorified God and gave thanks. I tried to go back to bed…finally I slept as a great peace came over me. If it hasn't happened already, get ready to be shaken…then poured out.
